The One Block & phases

Break the block, grow through ten phases and see what each one brings.

How it works

Your island is built around one block in the middle. Break it and it comes back as something new.
What appears depends on your phase. Each phase has its own blocks, mobs and loot chests.
Watch the action bar for Phase progress, shown as a percentage and a count. A message and a sound mark each new phase.
Mobs spawn at the block as you break it, and chests appear in its place. Open a chest to loot it.
Use /phase to see your current phase and block. The End is phase 10, the last one, and the phases do not start over.

Block counts are rounded. Later phases are usually longer, and the last one is the longest.

1. Plains	250	Grass, clay, oak and birch logs, podzol, pumpkins and melons. Chickens, cows, pigs and sheep.
2. The Underground	430	Stone, gravel, dirt, coal and iron ore, plus granite, diorite and andesite. Creepers, spiders, zombies and mooshrooms.
3. Snow Biome	700	Snow blocks, packed ice, stone, coal and iron ore. Foxes, polar bears, rabbits, strays and wolves.
4. Ocean Floor	770	Prismarine, sand, sea lanterns, coral blocks and clay. Guardians, an elder guardian, dolphins, drowned, squid, turtles and fish.
5. Jungle Dungeon	760	Cobblestone, mossy cobblestone, jungle logs, lapis and coal ore. Evokers, witches, horses, ocelots, pandas and parrots.
6. Red Desert	800	Sand, red sand, sandstone and terracotta. Husks, pillagers, vindicators, llamas, donkeys, villagers and wandering traders.
7. The Nether	780	Netherrack, soul sand, magma blocks, glowstone, quartz ore and obsidian. Blazes, ghasts, magma cubes, wither skeletons and zombified piglins.
8. Idyll	700	Quartz blocks, mushroom blocks, lapis and emerald ore, and coloured terracotta. Bees, cats, mules and slimes.
9. Desolate Land	790	Mycelium, stone bricks, bone blocks and coal ore. Cave spiders, phantoms, silverfish, skeletons, vexes and skeleton and zombie horses.
10. The End	1,050	End stone, end stone bricks, purpur, obsidian, gold and emerald ore. Endermen, endermites and shulkers.

Every phase hides loot chests, such as Plains Chests, Snow Chests and Nether Chests.
From the Snow Biome on, some chests are Super Chests.
