Catch fish

• Fish in any water to catch custom fish in six tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond, Platinum and Mythical. The higher the tier, the rarer the fish.
• Open /fish menu for everything fishing, or visit /fisherman for the fishing and bait menu.
• Some fish only live in certain biomes, times or weather. The codex (/fish codex) shows where each fish is found.
• Sell fish with /fish shop. Higher tiers are worth more, and the scales (/fish scales) let you gamble on a better price.

Baits

• A bait unlocks special fish that cannot be caught any other way. Read its description, then drag it onto your fishing rod to apply it.
• Baits come from the /fisherman menu and from competition rewards. Each bait has a number of uses.

Skills, entropy and extras

• Every catch earns Fishing skill XP and entropy. Spend entropy on rod augments, totems and fishing skills.
• Use /fish augment for rod augments, /fish skills for your skill points and /fish deliveries for special tasks.
• Fishing near other fishers boosts your XP and entropy.

Competitions

• Watch chat for a fishing competition and its goal. Rounds include Most Fish, Largest Fish, Smallest Fish, Biggest Haul, Rare Catch, Most Biomes, Longest Cast, Crab Hunt and Entropy Rush.
• Normally, catch at least 3 fish during the competition to qualify for a reward. Rare Catch is a race: the first to catch three rare fish wins.
• The top three earn Souls, a trophy and entropy; everyone who qualifies gets a participation reward. Use /ft info to check the current competition and /eventrewards to collect saved rewards.
